The Estate Community Development Mission (ECDM) of the Diocese of Colombo has been working in the Plantation sector for the past 25 years and seeks to empower the Tea plantation community towards a holistic development. Estate Community Development Mission is currently looking for potential, dynamic & creative individuals to join us in our journey of caring and who are dedicated to serve Tea plantation community.

• The candidate should be an Anglican and will be responsible for the overall Mission of the ECDM and will oversees the Mission work undertaken by the ECDM. A passion for Mission and an ability to analyze needs and formulate action coupled with excellent communication skill required.
• An excellent listener processing good presentation skills with the ability to write reports and project proposals.
• Ability to coordinate with Churches and partners both locally and internationally.
• He/she should show genuine interest in reporting to the hope and concerns of people in the community.
• With at least 5 years of experience in community development, project planning and management and leadership in emergency context.
• At least 30 – 45 years of age.
• A degree in social science will be distinct advantage and excellent knowledge in computer skills.
• Clear understanding on project issues; good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting; excellent communication, coordination and networking skills; Excellent in decision making and conflict resolution; Excellent in English, Tamil and Sinhala Languages and Computer skills.
• Monitoring and Field visits will be part of the Job role.
• Valid Riding and Driving license.
• High level of integrity and honesty, self - motivated, confident and independent.
