We view with grave concern the statement attributed to the President’s office, which stated that an ‘Extremist Group’ was responsible for the protests and unrest that occurred on the night of 31st March. We question the motive in rushing to identify parties alleged to be responsible within such a short period of time without stating any credible basis for such conclusion.
On Sunday the 20th of March 2022, the CCYM Exco visited and participated in the special program organized for the youths at Rakwana church, the Balangoda youths were also a part of the program. A special thanks to the Sabaragamuwa Deanery for organizing it, which led to be a fun filled event!
An Anglican - Roman Catholic joint service of Evening Prayer has been organized for Sunday 27th March, 2022 at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour at 4.30pm with the participation of His Eminence, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith Archbishop of Colombo, several Roman Catholic Bishops and lay people.
