Ordination of six Deacons to the Priesthood

At a solemn yet very colourful service of ordination in the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, the Bishop of Colombo, Rt. Revd. Dhiloraj Canagasabey ordained the following deacons to the Priesthood, on Monday 11^th June 2018.

Revds. Daniel Jeyaruban, Chamil Fernando, Hashan de Mel, Jurinesz Shadrach ,Nesarajah Shabilash and Rajiv Alexander.

The Archdeacons of Colombo, Galle, Jaffna and Nuwara Eliya as well as the Director of Ordinands assisted in the service while the preacher was Rev. Ernest Nadeem who also conducted the retreat for the newly ordained priests.

A large congregation of clergy, relatives, friends and parishioners joined in the service and in wishing God’s blessings on the newly ordained.
