The Board of Social Responsibility through the economic crisis response appeal was able to raise funds to serve the communities which are been severely affected by the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka. The appeal focused on supporting low-income families through food and financial assistance; educational and nutritional support for less fortunate Children. The BSR so far has served 1000 vulnerable Families through the cash grant program; 1200 School going children through the educational and nutrition support packs and 636 Children receiving mid-day meal through schools; 326 Pre-school children through the nutrition feeding program. The aid is delivered to the people through the Regional BSRs with the generous support of National and International partners. The BSR will continue to explore opportunities to secure funds to serve the communities which are facing severe challenges due to this worst economic crisis.
